A BILL to amend the Code of West Virginia, 1931, as amended, by adding thereto a new section, designated §18-5-9c, relating to allowing a county board of education to enter into a lease-purchase agreement for land, buildings and equipment.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of West Virginia:

That of the Code of West Virginia, 1931, as amended, be amended by adding thereto a new section, designated §18-5-9c, to read as follows:

ARTICLE 5. COUNTY BOARD OF EDUCATION.
§18-5-9c. Lease-purchase agreements to provide school facilities.
(a) Notwithstanding section twenty-six, article eight, chapter eleven of this code or any other contrary provision of this code, a county board may enter into a lease-purchase agreement for land, buildings and equipment.

NOTE:
The purpose of this bill relates to allowing a county board of education to enter into a lease-purchase agreement for land, buildings and equipment .
